Things look bad for most of us right now, but Barking Poets new song looks forward to a time when the underdogs prevail.
When the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and it seems like things will never change, you need a band to raise your spirits and give you hope that things will get better one day. In “When I Am King” Harvey Springfield and his bandmates fire a warning shot to the villains in power who think they hold all the cards, with a chorus that won’t leave your brain for days… You’ll regret this all when I am king!

The song continues in Barking Poets’ style of mixing the anthemic punk of The Clash and The Gaslight Anthem with the protest lineage of Neil Young and Billy Bragg – recorded again at Unit 13 Studios with Paul Tipler, with a captivating video by Richard Herring (WreckMedia) which will premiere on Facebook Live as a warm-up for the single launch.
The single will be released on September 4th 2020 and it will be available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms including Spotify.
